Puri Jagannath to direct 'Rajasekhar Reddy'

Puri Jagannath will direct the film that will be made on the life history of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. The film is titled 'Rajasekhar Reddy'.

Tollywood actor Rajasekhar who is also co-producing the film, will play the lead. Film makers said that they would start shooting for the movie after three months of extensive research on the life history of YSR and also after taking the consent his son Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

"We are taking extreme care in making this film. I am lucky to do this character and film on YSR. The story will cover the political, family and other aspects of the late Chief Minister. We will do research and get the director to meet all the friends and family members of Dr Rajasekhar Reddy to ensure the story is close to his real life" said actor Rajasekhar.

"As we wanted a star director to take up this project, we contacted Puri Jagannath and he readily agreed. This movie will be on par with 'Iruvar' , 'Gandhi' and 'Nayakudu'." said Jeevitha Rajasekhar, actor turned politician.

Puri Jaganath is said to have already met YSR's son Jagan Mohan Reddy and informed him of the movie plan. Puri Jaganath will begin his research on YSR from his constituency Pulivendula in Kadapa district soon.

The film makers informed that the script for the movie will be complete only after thorough research on the life history of YSR and that they will decide on including the characters of YSR's friend KVP Ramachandra Rao and the his personal assistant Sureedu in the film.
